My name is Amanda Carrow.  I knew I wanted to be an Interior Designer from a young age, always moving the furniture around the house, and redecorating the rooms in my doll house. This led me to take technical drawing, engineering and architectural drafting in high school. This was where I learned skills like autoCAD early on before college. That led me to know I wanted to go to college for Interior Design.

I am now a senior at Radford University, in the Interior Design program, graduating in May of 2017! I have learned many skills along the way, such as photoshop, illistrator, indesign, revit, autocad, sketchup, hand rendering, space planning, drafting, ADA requirements, and sustainability. I am passionate, and creative, and love residential design and one day I want to own my own small business in residential design flipping houses.

I've always been fascinated with the layout of spaces and why things are the way they are. Through my college career I have also developed a passion for sustainable design. I believe sustainable design is the design of the future. Everyone should consider the benefits it has for not only us, but our environment and protecting it for many years to come. Being socially responsible towards our environment is something that cannot just be ignored.

About Amanda

Instead of controlling the environment for the benefit of the population, perhaps it is time we control the population for the survival of the environment
